performed on "folkowe spotkania na szczycie" in Olsztyn , 03.08.08 . this dance tells story about a group of devoted women who were praying by dancing and offering flowers to Lord Jagannath asking Him to appear in front of them. then Lord appeared. Women started singin hymns about Him and Lord told them about Himself.
i tried to give this choreography very spiritual mood.
choreography is composed by me . the dance is based on Indian Contemporary technique. i used mostly steps from Bharatnatyam and Odissi, including some Kathakali and Chhow. on the very beginning i put basic position fram Tari Bali. in the middle of choreography , there are some steps from arabic bellydance and hula.
i'm not proffesional dancer! i still learn and i know that i need lots of practise.
