Months after Khalistanis vandalised Indian HC in UK, a close aide of separatist Amritpal Singh died in England’s Birmingham. Avtar Singh Khanda, who orchestrated the KhalistanI protest outside Indian High Commission in London was suffering from blood cancer. However, as per his family based in Punjab's Moga, the reason behind his death is not confirmed yet. Meanwhile, former Akal Thakhat Jathedar Jasveer Singh Rode suspected some conspiracy behind Khanda’s death. Singh claimed that nobody dies of blood cancer so soon and Khanda was given slow poison by unknown people Recently, Khanda was also arrested in connection with the allegation of pulling down the Indian flag at Indian HC in London. National Investigating Agency had identified Khanda along with three others as the main miscreants behind the violent protest. He has also been accused of grooming Amritpal Singh to take over position of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief after Deep Sidhu's death.
