Even Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif couldn’t make any difference. Its sole redemption was to make an insane amount of money in China, where Aamir is the most loved Indian actor. But it seems they saw through this facade as well. While Dangal and Secret Superstar made China the most lucrative spot for Indian films, Thugs Of Hindostan couldn’t match up to it at all. China has rejected the film like us.
However, a Box Office report stated that “The film will lose heavily for Chinese distributors which is a first as far as Indian films are concerned as they have never fetched a price. Despite it being a film which has faced rejection wherever released but from a start like this it leaves it little chance as this one needed a big run in China,”
“Aamir Khan is a big draw in China and his last two films (Dangal, Secret Superstar have done stupendous business there… Yet, Thugs Of Hindostan has had a shockingly low start in China.
