Political commentator Ben Shapiro says there are groups who are “afraid” of the political implications of calling a “terrorist a terrorist”.
This comes after the BBC refused to describe Hamas as terrorists, instead opting to call them militants.
Also, The New York Times changed the wording in one of their online articles from “Hamas terrorist” to “Hamas gunman”.
“When you acknowledge that the government of the Gaza Strip is, in fact, a terrorist government, it has some pretty large-scale implications for a lot of the political agendas at play,” Mr Shapiro told Sky News Australia Piers Morgan.
“An entire area is governed by a government that is, in fact, a terrorist government – it’s an actual terrorist group.”
