Australia: 6 Killed including Suspect in Brutal Knife Attack at Sydney Mall
A man was shot and multiple people have been stabbed at a Sydney shopping center in Australia. Prime minister Anthony Albanese has labelled Saturday’s attack “a horrific act of violence”. Assistant Police Commissioner Anthony Cooke said that the suspect attacked nine people at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction, which is in the city’s eastern suburbs, before a police inspector shot him after he turned and raised a knife. Five of the victims and the suspect died, he added. Australian Police say that they have not yet ruled out the angle of terrorism, however they added that the attacker worked alone.
