UK: Several arrested as Muslims hold prayer outside French embassy in protest of Macron
Police broke up a protest outside the French embassy in London, where Muslims held a Friday prayer while demonstrating against French President Emmanuel Macron following his comments on Islam.
Protesters could be seen holding signs reading, "The biggest terrorist is Macron", chanting "Allahu Akbar" as police detained some of them.
Earlier this month, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Islam is "a religion that is in crisis all over the world today" in reaction to the killing of the French teacher Samuel Paty on October 16, after he showed cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad to his students during a discussion on freedom of speech. The comments sparked a wave of protests across the Muslim world.
