Three Hamas members have been arrested in Berlin, Germany and another in the Netherlands after being suspected of plotting a terrorist attack on Jewish institutions across Europe.
Their names will not be listed but two were born in Lebanon, another is from Egypt and the fourth is of a Dutch nationality.
German prosecutors have declared that the men have been “long-standing members of Hamas and have participated in Hamas operations abroad."
Under orders of Hamas, one of the men was tasked with taking and storing weapons in Berlin to be “kept in a state of readiness” for any potential attacks on Jewish institutions across Europe.
The individual was given those orders only months before the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel which killed over 1,200 people.
Three additional men were arrested in Denmark at around the same time, however, Danish authorities are yet to confirm their links to the four men arrested in Berlin and the Netherlands.
