Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says she questions what the women accusing Russell Brand of rape and sexual assault are trying to gain by speaking to journalists rather than police.
“Obviously the allegations these women are levelling at #RussellBrand, these happened over a decade ago,” Mr Krakue told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
Ms Krakue said even if the women's stories were taken at face value, there will be issues of distorted memory.
"Obviously he’s denying it all so it’s really going to be difficult to tell the truth," she said.
“At the end of the day … we can’t take any action against him – if you were really interested in justice you would go to the police so I’m very sceptical about all of that.”
