PM Modi lauds ‘Nari Shakti’; ISRO Scientist says no other PM in the world gives importance to women

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru on August 26. He met with ISRO’s women scientists and congratulated them on the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s success. One of the woman scientists said “The fact he recognises us so well and No other Prime Minister gives so much importance to ‘Nari Shakti’ and women empowerment” Earlier in the day, he met ISRO Chief S Somanath and hugged him. He congratulated the whole team on the mission’s success. “Women scientists played a key role in Chandrayaan-3. This 'Shivkshakti' point will inspire the upcoming generations to use science for the welfare of people. The welfare of people is our supreme commitment,” PM Modi said during his address.
On August 23, ISRO scripted history as Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module successfully landed on Moon’s surface. India became the first nation in the world to land on the South Pole of the Moon.
