The United States is "committed" to working closely with India to advance economic growth. The White House press secretary, Karien Jean-Pierre, said in her daily press briefing that the Biden administration is committed to expanding its cooperation with New Delhi as well as in groups like the QUAD, while responding to a question about the US becoming India's largest trading partner for the second year in a row, surpassing China. According to the provisional data of the commerce ministry, the bilateral trade between India and the US has increased by 7.65 percent to USD 128.55 billion in 2022–23 as compared to USD 119.5 billion in 2021–22.
