Stormzy dubs general election result a ‘dark day for minorities’
Stormzy has made his feelings on the general election result known, reposting a tweet dubbing the Conservative win a ‘dark day for minorities’.
He shared Mehdi Hasan’s tweet which read: ‘Dark day for minorities in the UK. Especially for British Muslims who watched as a man who said “Islam was the problem,” mocked veiled Muslim women, & also turned a blind eye to massive anti-Muslim hatred in his party, was just given a landslide majority by their fellow Britons.’
The Vossi Bop hitmaker also posted a tweet written by another social media user that said: "Whatever happens tonight, @jeremycorbyn has been a fantastic Labour leader.
"He has provided genuine hope for the youth of this country and enabled us to imagine better conditions for ourselves. He boldly spoke out against injustice and inequality. I will always respect him."
It comes after he admitted he has never voted before in the impassioned speech posted online.
He said before Jeremy Corbyn he had never trusted politicians but described the Labour leader as a "man of hope".

Stormzy blasted Boris Johnson as a "f***ing p****" but refused to call the Tory leader by his name.
And he called on his fans and everyone watching to make sure they voted before the 10pm deadline tonight.
The other guy is a f***ing p****, so go and use your vote."

Stormzy's influence on the election has already been felt when the Glastobury headliner took to social media to urge all his followers to register to vote.
His calls were met with a massive 351,000 spike in the number of people registering on the day of the deadline back in November.
He has also previously described Boris Johnson as a "sinister man with a long record of lying and policies that have absolutely no regard for the people that our government should be committed to helping".
The Croydon-born star has been vocal in his backing for Labour throughout the election campaign.

Stormzy asked voters to throw their support behind the party in order to bring about "people-led change" and bring an end to austerity.
He famously performed the lyric "f**k Boris" during his set at Glastonbury this year.
His set, which was broadcast live and uncensored on BBC Two, included track Cold, which features the line: "So tell Boris Johnson, ‘Suck your mum!’”
