Narrated Sad: Allah’s Apostle said, “He who eats seven ‘Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 65 Hadith 356

Jabir b. Abdullah reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not mix fresh dates and dry dates, and grapes and fresh dates for preparing Nabidh. (Nabidh is a drink traditionally made from fruits such as raisins/grapes or dates.)

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of ‘Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates.

Narrated Abu Huraira : dates used to be brought to Allah’s Apostle immediately after being plucked. Different persons would bring their dates till a big heap collected (in front of the Prophet). Once Al-Hasan and Al-Husain were playing with these dates. One of them took a date and put it in his mouth. Allah’s Apostle looked at him and took it out from his mouth and said, “Don’t you know that Muhammad’s offspring do not eat what is given in charity?”

Narrated Jabala: “We were in Medina with some of the Iraqi people, and we were struck with famine and Ibn Az-Zubair used to give us dates. Ibn ‘Umar used to pass by and say, “The Prophet forbade us to eat two dates at a time, unless one takes the permission of one’s companions.”

Narrated Sahl bin Sad: Abu Usaid As-Sa’di invited Allah’s Apostle to his wedding party and his wife who was the bride, served them on that day. Do you know what drink she gave Allah’s Apostle? Anas reported that when his mother gave birth to a child they brought that child to Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) so that he might chew some dates and touch his palate with them. and Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) was at that time in the fold busy in cauterising the animals Shu’ba said: So far as I know (he was cauterising) their ears.
