Some Sunnah of Eid Al-Adha
The Sunnahs of the Day of Eid al-Adha include:
1. To adorn oneself according to the Shariah, by:
a. Performing ghusl (this is a confirmed sunnah for the Eid prayer);
b. Brush one’s teeth, using a miswak if possible;
c. Apply perfume;
d. Wear the best clothing one possesses, without excess. White, when available, is optimal;
2. To wake up early, in order to prepare for the sunnas of the day;
3. To go early to the place the Eid prayer is taking place;
4. To delay eating until after the Eid al-Adha prayer;
5. To return from the Eid prayer by a different route to the one taken there, as established by the Prophet’s practice (Allah bless him & give him peace);
6. To walk, when reasonably possible without hardship;
7. To give the takbirs of Eid.
[ibid.]
- In Eid Al Fitr - the Sunnah was to eat something sweet before going to the Eid Prayer, but in Eid Al Adha, you do not eat anything before the Eid Salah.
- Go to Masjid from a route and return home from a different route.
Takbir - ut - Tashriq
There is a long story about this.
when Ibraheem (as) was about to Slaughter Ismael (as), the Malaikah bought the ram from Jannah, upon this Ibraheem (as) said Allahu Akbar.
then there is more to it (and how it completes the whole takbir).
This takbir is to be said from 9th of Dhul Hijjah to Asr of 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
Have to say it once after every fardh Prayer I think.
- Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha ilallahu, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Walilahil hamd.
Beginning from the Fajr of the 9th Dhul Hijjah up to the 'Asr prayer of the 13th, it is obligatory on each Muslim to recite the Takbir of Tashriq after every fard prayer.
According to authentic Islamic sources, it is obligatory on each Muslim, to recite this Takbir after every fard salah. For women also, it is commendable though not obligatory. Whether you are performing salah with Jama'ah (collectively) or on your own (individually) makes no difference. You must recite the Takbir. However, male Muslims should recite it in a loud voice, while females should recite it in a low voice.
It is wajib to listen to the khutbah of Eid Al-Adha.
It is haraam to say Nawaafil Prayers in the 'Eidgaah either before or after the Salaatul 'Eid.

A look from you is as blinding as the sun
As stunning as your eyes I lose myself in
A look from you is as pure as the clear blue sky
When I'm with you
Every minute I'm not around you
I feel like I left something behind.
Every time I'm not looking at you
I feel like I am blind
