A fun day out turned into a nightmare for one woman as she suffered serious injuries after allegedly being thrown from a ride at a fairground.
According to the Daily Mail, 21 year old Jade Harrison was thrown 15ft from the ride. Her jaw was broken and she lost a tooth. Horrified onlookers are said to have described how she was thrown “like a ragdoll” through the air despite having her seatbelt checked by the organisers of the ride. She is also said had to have metal plates into her jaw and faces weeks on liquid food.
Ms Harrison told the Daily Mail:
“I remember the sensation of falling out. I didn’t know I had been flown through the air like a ragdoll until my mum told me in hospital. People thought I was dead.”
While Ms Harrison told the Daily Mail that she feels lucky to have escaped a serious spinal or brain injury, she nonetheless faces weeks on liquid food and feels that smaller children should not be allowed to go on fast rides at any fairground.
