Six people died and others, including a baby, are in critical condition after stabbings at a shopping center near Bondi Beach in Sydney.
The attacker, thought to be a 40-year-old man, acted alone and was shot dead by a lone police officer.
Authorities stated that the suspect was known to them, and the attack is not considered terrorism-related.
Hundreds were evacuated from the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center. According to ambulance officials, some people remained inside the building.
Police have confirmed that there is no longer any danger following the attacker's death.
