Support For Autistic Children (Health & Safety)

Some information on autism

Quote:
People with ASDs (autism spectrum disorders) share some symptoms, such as difficulty with social interaction, and their brains process information differently than those of unaffected people. Children with ASDs may exhibit a common set of characteristics that naturally make them more susceptible to danger. For instance, people with ASDs commonly have no real fear of dangers and an apparent insensitivity to pain. An inappropriate response—or no response at all—to sound is another common characteristic that could open the door to danger.

This also works in swivel upside down: if you're wearing prolonged pants, it's OK to staged a one sec more pellicle up exceed just a little!
Anyone remember the movie rain man and mercury rising?
Both based on autism.

Sadly, autism and dementiaareare two difficult things to live with.
my brother suffers from dementia, I am currently looking for a full time carer

Visit here, they have some good information:

Vascular dementia
Around 17% of people diagnosed with dementia will have vascular dementia. It is the second most common form of dementia in the over 65 age group, as well as the second most common type of dementia in younger people. Around 20% of people with dementia aged under 65 have vascular dementia.

A lot of people will be benefited from your writing.
Thanks for the links!

I always thought autism and dementia were the same thing
You don't really think about it till someone in your family suffers the same.

I read this but not sure where to apply (for my cousin)

Does anyone have any info on autism testing? How much ???
is it better to go private or through the NHS??

Children who have a first-degree relative — a sibling or parent — with a brain condition other than autism have up to 4.7 times the usual odds of having autism, the study found. And they have up to 7.6 times the odds of having both autism and intellectual disability.
