I also heard they come to life at night.. quite creepy.. Im sure i saw it in a film too, was it sherlock holmes..?
Some of them look quite cool, some just look really disfigured and scarey

I think ive spotted them on a few buildings too, and like the old churches, wouldnt like to be hanging around in the dark there tho!!
