Mike Graham is joined by political commentator Benedict Spence, to discuss the Manchester synagogue terror attack and the political establishment’s failure to confront antisemitism and radicalisation.
Mike Graham says the attack is predictable, given a political narrative that portrays Israel as a “terrible state.” He argues that the recognition of Palestine encourages extremist Islamists to think it is “okay to go around killing Jewish people.”
Benedict Spence agrees, calling the situation “alarming” and “disgusting.” He stresses that thousands in the UK respond to the murders by “celebrating and supporting a movement that sets out to murder Jewish people.”
Both Mike and Benedict criticise the pro-Palestine protests that took place immediately after the attack, in London and Manchester stations. They highlight the double standard where political figures condemn those who wave the Union Jack but tolerate overt antisemitic and genocidal chants by pro-Palestine demonstrators.
