Israel has launched 'Operation Iron Swords' against Hamas militants in response to the declaration of a 'state of war.' The Israel Air Force initiated a series of attacks involving dozens of fighter jets targeting Hamas in multiple locations within the Gaza Strip. The war has led to 480 deaths on both sides and more than 1500 injuries have been reported. While Israel has hit back at Gaza after the unprecedented and unprovoked attack by the Hamas militants, an act which saw widespread condemnation from world leaders, celebrations were seen on the streets of Iran, Toronto and London as well.
