lol what happened was that the company (masterfoods I think it was?) decided they wanted to start using animal rennet in their products. I think those are the chocolates you've written above.
There was a massive uproar from vegetarians, and after a few days they went back to not using animal rennet and apologised for their gross error. There was a particular batch that we couldn't have, so we were advised about the BBE dates!
