Crewe residents protested outside Webb House, the headquarters of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light Sunday night, demanding police shut down its operations.

Last week the site was raided by 500 officers in connection with an investigation into reported sexual offences, forced marriage and slavery.

Ten people were arrested and have since been released on bail.

Police have stressed they are investigating the suspects in question, not the religion. Residents have demanded the site be closed, though police have called for calm and asked the public not to speculate as the live investigation continues.
