Shobeborat

hiya evryone....yesterday i found out that Shobeborat (or NIght of Power as others may no it) doesnt exist...I heard its been made up by Pakistani's and Bangladeshi's..Praying on this night is very emotionally rewarding for me, i fast for 2days too (ystaday n 2day)..Does this mean that what millions of people around the world are doing is wrong???

for as long as i can remember ive been praying on this night..its what ive been taught and brought up to believe and for someone to tell me that its wrong and doesnt exist was kind of upsetting me for me..:'(

if its made up then why do people do it???

everybody in my family (i have a huge one) has been doing this for years and years...even those who have departed...would my nani, bless her (who was a very strict Muslim) teach me something thats not right??? so im starting my research to see if its true. ive heard that East London Mosque and Regents Park Mosque dont follow Shobeborat..but it was covered on Islam channel.
what do you think????

A friend has come to the conclusion that, Shobeborat, (Night of Power) has no real significance, unlike laylat ul qadr and that the two occasions shouldn’t be treated in the same way. However most communities do make it into a big thing.

But I think that there’s no harm in praying… Even on this night. Is any kind of Ibadah forbidden??

By praying and fasting on the night of Shoeborat it will mentally and spiritually prepare you for the blessed month of Ramadhan. Am I right??
