“Where the line gets crossed is when they start invoking hatred and harm and violence against other people,” Mr Reece told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“That’s the point when I think police should be stepping in and shutting this thing down.”
Mr Reece said the pro-Palestinian protests in Melbourne have been marching peacefully.
“We’ve had pro-Palestinian marching out the front of the state library, a couple of hundred, I don’t agree with much of what they’ve said but I think it’s a peaceful protest; we live in a democracy.”
