What are your thoughts on ISRO?

Should India 'waste' resources on such ventures or is this project worth invensting in?

ISRO built India's first satellite, Aryabhata, which was launched by the Soviet Union on 19 April 1975.[18] It was named after the mathematician Aryabhata. In 1980, Rohini became the first satellite to be placed in orbit by an Indian-made launch vehicle, SLV-3. ISRO subsequently developed two other rockets: the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) for launching satellites into polar orbits and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) for placing satellites into geostationary orbits. These rockets have launched numerous communications satellites and Earth observation satellites. Satellite navigation systems like GAGAN and IRNSS have been deployed. In January 2014, ISRO used an indigenous cryogenic engine in a GSLV-D5 launch of the GSAT-14.

ISRO sent a lunar orbiter, Chandrayaan-1, on 22 October 2008

Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai (12 August 1919 – 30 December 1971)[6] was an Indian scientist and innovator widely regarded as the father of India's space programme. Sarabhai received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Medal in 1962. The nation honoured him by awarding Padma Bhushan in 1966 and Padma Vibhushan (posthumously) in 1972

THE ONLY REASON INDIA HAS BEEN HELD BACK FOR SO MANY YEARS IS...

1) INVASIONS
2) COLONIALISM

...BESIDES, IF INDIA DOES BECOME SUCCESSFUL SPACE POWER HOUSE IN THE FUTURE ...
INDIANS WILL NOT NEED TO RUN TO NASA FOR A JOB...CURRENTLY INDIAN'S WASTE THEIR TALENT WORKING FOR GLOBAL COMPANIES

WHO HAVE THEIR OWN INTERESTS AT HEART...

EVEN STUDENTS WHO COME TO THE U.K...ARE BRAINWASHED INTO THINKING THAT "OXFORD" IS THE PLACE TO BE..

INDIA HAS A RICH HERITAGE, FOOD ...POVERTY ...INFRASTRUCTURE...ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HIGH IMPORTANCE...

IF THE INDIAN SPACE PROGRAM DOES WELL, PEOPLE WILL AUTOMATICALLY FLOCK TO INDIA.....

IT WILL ALSO INSPIRE OTHER INDIANS WITH THE "YES WE CAN, WE ARE NO LESS THAN NASA" .... MOTIVATION...

The British Empire lasted more than 300 years and spanned the globe and still does not have a suitable space program 8-)

The British space programme is the UK government's work to develop British space capabilities. The objectives of the current civil programme are to "win sustainable economic growth, secure new scientific knowledge and provide benefits to all citizens."

The first official British space programme began in 1952. In 1959, the first satellite programme was started, with the Ariel series of British satellites, built in the United States and the UK and launched using American rockets. The first British satellite, Ariel 1, was launched in 1962. The British space programme has always emphasized unmanned space research and commercial initiatives. It has never been government policy to create a British astronaut corps.[2][3] The British government did not provide funding for the International Space Station until 2011
