Be With The One's You Love

Anas Ibn Malik (radiAllahu anhu) also said, “A Bedouin said to the Messenger of Allah (saw) ‘When will the Hour come?’ The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘What have you prepared for it?’ He said, ‘The love of Allah and His Messenger.’ He said, ‘You will be with the one's you love.’”

Anas said, “I love Allah and His Messenger and (I love) Abu Bakr and ‘Umar and I hope to be with them, even if I have not done what they have done.” [Muslim]

It is related that Abdullah Ibn 'Umar (radiAllahu anhu) said that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a man who loves some people but does not catch up with them (to do what they do)?" The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "A man is with the one he loves." [Muslim]

‘A’ishah reported that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, I love you more than I love myself, and I love you more than I love my family, and I love you more than I love my children.

When I am at home and I think of you, I am unable to contain myself until I can come to you and look at you. When I think about my death and your death, I know that when you enter Paradise, you will be raised to where the Prophets are. But, if I enter Paradise, I am afraid: will I be able to see you?”

So, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not answer him at all until Jibril revealed to him:

وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡہِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ وَٱلشُّہَدَآءِ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ*ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ رَفِيقً۬ا

{“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace – of the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!”}

[an-Nisa'(4): 69]
